SOLD STICKER!!! As some of you were driving to the school to pick up items from the Auction, you may have noticed the Sold sticker! At our Fall AGM, the Land Acquisition Taskforce (LAT) presented a motion to the Society to pursue the purchase of the property at 50700 Hack Brown Rd. The Society unanimously approved the motion and the Taskforce got to work on finalizing the purchase. ... On Friday, November 20th, all subjects were removed and Unity Christian School officially purchased the 8.1 acre property! Earlier today, Brandon Kloot (Board Member - LAT), John Kampman (Board Chair - LAT), and Matt Van Muyen (System Principal) visited the property and took a photo by the Sold sign. Prior to the photo, there was a bit of hooting and hollering in celebration but it also could have been due to the amount of blackberry thistle we were standing in. Over the past 10 years or more, board members, administrators, staff, and Society members have often spoken about the possibility of purchasing this property. Standing together on the land today, knowing that it is owned by Unity Christian School, was exhilarating and a bit surreal. In 2019, we celebrated our 50 year anniversary. During that celebratory event, we were reminded that the story of Chilliwack/Unity Christian is a story of God’s faithfulness. With the purchase of the property, we again must turn our collective attention to God in gratitude for the things He has done. The land will be a blessing to the ongoing and long-term mission and vision of Unity Christian School. It is our mission to assist in developing our students' God-given potential and to enable them to join in the work of building the Kingdom of God. We are guided by our vision to provide high quality, engaging and relevant, Christian Education to all Christian families that desire it; to serve families in the Eastern Fraser Valley: Chilliwack, Agassiz (In partnership with Agassiz Christian), Harrison, and Hope. We are thankful for the work and support of our Land Acquisition Taskforce, the Society, and our private investors. Many individuals have worked hard and contributed in various ways to make this property purchase a reality. As noted, the land we purchased today is and will be a blessing for our school and community; it will be impactful for the future of Unity Christian School. Together, we will continue to Learn and Live in Christ. #YILoveUnity

What an awesome couple of days!! We are thankful to announce that this year’s annual Auction & Celebration raised just under $98,000! Unity's Annual Auction & Celebration is going digital! Are we going to miss the sounds, smells, and excitement of this event? Absolutely!! Auction and Celebration: Student Artwork! Every year at the Auction we display student learning demonstrated through artwork around the Landing Centre. Typically, artwork from students PreK - 12 is displayed behind the various auction and food tables; easy for everyone to see and admire. This year, as you participate in the online auction, we want to continue the tradition and share with you in this digital format student artwork. We would encourage you to take a minute to observe the examples of student learning and, if you feel inclined, provide a comment of encouragement to our artists! #YILoveUnity
