The UWFA is disappointed to see that the federal government has chosen to ban legal property used for sport and hunting instead of listening to the petitions and protests of Canadian gun owners. However, despite our disapproval with the order-in-council, we wish to remind all UWFA members that the new laws will be enforced at future events. To aid in the understanding of this new government action, the UWFA will be adding new educational aspects to our events that will cover... these new laws and what they mean for Canadian gun owners going forward. Our goal is to help students enjoy our events and shooting sports while still remaining in the confines of the law. Additionally, wed like to announce that our events will remain unaffected by the government action going forward and we will resume all previously scheduled events once social distancing orders are lifted. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to message us or email us at [email protected]. We thank you all for your continued support. See more
Hello, I regret to announce that we have decided to cancel all events until further notice, by the executive order of our president. This is done in the interest of student safety, member safety, and safety of the range and staff. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to trap and skeet season once we resume events. To anyone needing to complete the shotgun training message us and we will make arrangements for you once we resume events. Unfortunately, this does... affect our competition for.22lr. we will keep everyone competing posted as to developments of the team and the competitions. Best wishes and good health to everyone as we navigate this stressful time
Hello everyone, Due to unforeseen circumstances, this Sundays .22 dynamic event will be cancelled. However, centre-fire day (March 22nd) and the .22 LR 25 metre competition (March 29th) will still be running. We appreciate your understanding!
Thanks so much to everyone who came out today! Were looking forward to starting the season with you.
Howdy folks. Tomorrow is the last training day for shotgun. With April right around the corner this will be your last chance to get the 2 mandatory training days required to do outdoor trap and skeet. If you cannot make this training day but still want to get your 2 in before trap season, please message us and we will see what arrangements we can make. Hoping to see everyone out tomorrow.

Hey all, we hope you are having a great winter break after your exams. With this post we would like to bring Petition e-2341 to everyones attention. This petition, sponsored by Glen Motz MP, is a call to the Government of Canada regarding their intention to ban what it refers to as military-style assault rifles through an Order in Council (OIC), and requesting this issue be brought instead to the House of Commons for debate, as preferable in a democracy. The outcome of su...ch an OIC will be devastating to law-abiding firearm owners across Canada, and an injudicious blow to the shooting sports. If you participate in any shooting sports and would like to see the UWFA continue club activities, please sign the petition and have family and friends do likewise; every signature counts and really matters! Here is the link to the petition: https://petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/Details Once you have signed, make sure to confirm your signature through your email (check your Junk Mail if you do not receive immediately), as it will not be counted otherwise.
