Did you know low testosterone can increase your prostate cancer risk? Taking care of your erectile function isn't vanity, it's vitally important to your overall health. Details in the Huffington Post piece on low testosterone and prostate cancer link by one of our doctors: http://www.huffingtonpost.ca//low-testosterone_b_9402128.h
Dr. Dean Elterman recently told Zoomer magazine about shockwave therapy, our preferred treatment for the majority of ED cases. "For erectile dysfunction, theres the plainly named ED-1000 (http://uuaurology.com/tre/ed-1000-for-erectile-dysfunction/). The key to how it works is low-intensity shock wave therapy that induces neovascularization growth of new blood vessels in the penis. The garden variety of ED, around 80 per cent, is because of poor blood flow, says Dr. Dean Elterman of University Urology Associates in Toronto. In fact, poor blood flow (endothelial dysfunction) is the same underlying cause of heart attack and stroke, which is why ED can precede a cardiac event by three to five years, notes Elterman."
We're launching our website shortly and, in the meantime, wanted to share some information about our clinic and physicians. We're also accepting questions that we will answer on our Urologic and Sexual Health blog (you will remain anonymous!)
