All that I am is wonderful and I celebrate myself. I possess the courage to choose the directions of my life. I feel good about myself today. All that I am is wonderful and I celebrate myself. I possess the courage to choose the directions of my life. I feel good about myself today.
For today it is about questions and musing from those diagnosed with lung cancer. Question: If 85% of lung cancer is preventable, why is so little being done. Things like Radon mitigation More support for smoking cessation. Early screening....Continue reading

Finally a solution!
Biomarkers and Immunotherapy are the future of treatment for lung cancer. We can create treatments that will extend the lives of so many diagnosed with lung cancer, less invasive, and for those in the government more cost effective. The health system is getting strained and stretched beyond its ability to handle what comes at it from all directions, not just cancer. Lives and families will not be strained. Our economy will flourish. There are approximately 30,000 people who g...Continue reading

Hello! Well today is the first day of lung cancer awareness month! I believe lung cancer awareness should be every day but this month is our opportunity to bring lung cancer out from behind the mask of stigma, indifference, myths and misinformation. But it all starts with us. Those diagnosed with lung cancer and all who surround and support them, the strangers we come in contact with. Now this does not mean going Rambo (hopefully you know who Rambo is) but every sharing of y...our story, every single dollar we can get for lung cancer research and support will make a difference. This is why I use "everyone is a pebble to create the avalanche of change" Every small gesture is one pebble in many. We are each a pebble. There are some of us who do bigger things (at least in others minds) We are here to help you to know that stepping up and stepping out can create results. It does not have to be some big event. Each has created something that suits who they are, something to support you in your thoughts and what you would want. So here are a few ideas for you to think about. Reach out to others with lung cancer and those affected by it share your story and help them share their story. Being seen and supporting those who work on our behalf and do this tirelessly is a precious gift. There are many advocates working behind the scenes in Canada. Lend your voice to them, support them to make a stronger link Raising funds: Get a group of people together and set up a donation club. As an example 10 people each donating $10 per month is $1,200 per year. $1,200 does not seem like much but it will be accepted with gratitude and utilized in their journey to rule over lung cancer. It does not sound like much but get 200 groups together to do this that is $240,000 per year. Events do not have to be these gigantic events but great if you can. Helping each other to be strong and act as a shield as our message is being cascaded out is as important as anything else. Big or small it all adds up to a unified front. Sharing and respecting each other. Being there for our doctors, family, friends and strangers. It is lung cancers time to be seen #donation #lungcancerawareness #curecancer
