He was recently awarded the 202...0 Rising Star Alumni Award of Distinction at uOttawa - Médecine, Medicine. As an outstanding medical leader and a graduate of our MD Indigenous Program, Dr. Makokis would be a strong asset to the CMA. * Le Dr James A. Next Indigenous MD Mentorship Program meeting is Wednesday, December 9 @ 7:00 pm on Zoom. :) The topic is Life as a Medical Student. Contact [email protected] to get the link! This mentorship program is lead by Indigenous medical students at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. It is open to First Nations, Inuit and Métis college and university students in the Ottawa-Gatineau area who are interested in medical school. . Topics covered will include choosing und...ergraduate courses, preparing your CV, admission requirements, navigating the application process, general aspects of medical school, etc. In addition to the monthly online meetings, Indigenous medical students, residents, and staff physicians will also be available for one-on-one mentorship. This program will be offered in English. Participation in French can be organized on request.
