University of Toronto's SLUGS 15.11.2020

[Update: event zoom link added] Society of Linguistics Undergraduate Students (SLUGS) holds a general meeting every semester for our execs to directly communicate with our members on the operation of SLUGS. General Meeting is a space for you (everyone taking 1 or more LIN/JAL/JLP/JLS course this semester) to learn more about our internal operation and share your opinions and suggestions with us. What events do you want to see more of? How can we help you communicate with the ...department and faculties better? What resources should we provide? Tell us on this Fall's SLUGS GM on November 27. This is a virtual general meeting. https://fb.me/e/1KYz7FjcR Welcome to our second SLUGS Film Friday (which is this Friday)! It is our monthly film screening event. Every month we choose a movie show it to and discuss it with our undergrad linguist community, on a Friday. This month our choice is the 2011 Canadian bilingual comedy, French Immersion. It's a story about a group of anglophone Canadians (and an American) take part in a French Immersion course in the Quebec town of Saint-Isidore-du-Cœur-de-Jésus. W...e will be discussion bilingualism and L2 acquisition during and after the screening. This is a virtual screening. Link to the event will be posted on the day. See you this Friday!
