OCEA VIRTUAL HORSE SHOW SERIES The Ontario Collegiate Equestrian Association will be hosting a virtual show series, consisting of three shows over the fall sem...ester! The first show of the series is a Autumn Throwback Classic, where we invite OCEA members to share their favourite trips and memories from past seasons. The second show of the series is in support of @onequestrian For The Herd fundraiser. The final show of the virtual series will be an Equitation Challenge, that will be a way to bring teams together to compete. More details to come, keep an eye out for dates and a prize list. TRYOUTS 2020/2021 Ontario Tech Equestrian Team Tryouts this year will be conducted through a multilevel system. Step one: Fill out the OTU Rider application form. Link in bio! ... Step two: Email us videos of you riding! (Full jump course with lines and rollbacks & under saddle). ~Please send unedited videos that are of good quality, and zoomed in~ Our team will then review the videos with Coach Joanna. All offers will be conditional until team lessons begin, where Joanna will reassess all possible new team members. ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE IN BY SEPTEMBER 30th 2020

One of our main focuses for the team is creating an environment where everyone is welcome. We are aware that inclusivity is something that equine world has struggled with in the past and there is still room today for change. There is a lot going on in the media today and as team we feel as though we can not stay silent. Today we want to spread a message of love to all of the colourful diverse communities that we get to be apart of in Canada and at Ontario Tech. COVID-19 Update; Our 2020/2021 season is still unclear, the OCEA has postponed the start of the season until January, 2021. We are hopeful to have a short season in light of COVID-19. We are trying our best to plan ahead and provide you with as much information as possible. We will reach out again when we know more!

Postponement of the 2020-2021 season The OCEA has made the decision to postpone the season until January 2021. As we move through the year, we will be monitoring suggestions from the government and Ontario Equestrian to decide on how to best move forward.
