UOttawa Dragon Boat 11.02.2021

Hey everyone! Bytown Dragon Boat Club/Carleton Dragon Boat Club is organizing some SUP (stand up paddle board) sessions to replace dragonboat for the time being, and has extended the invite! We’ll obviously be doing everything we can to keep social distancing rules in place, and keeping all the equipment sanitized. The sessions would be somewhere between 3-8$ per session, and we’re currently looking at doing them on Tuesday/Thursday evenings. For now we’re going to keep them uncoached as the group limit is 5 people (this means if we have more people they’ll be split into groups). This will keep the costs really cheap! If you're interested please shoot us a message!

Due to the City of Ottawa's decision to close all recreational sites until June 30th, UODB will not consider if it is safe to begin on-water practices until after this date. There is a very real possibility that we will have to delay our first ever season as a team to next summer, however we will not let that stop us from creating a great team for our first season! Once it is safe for practices to begin we will announce plans for either on-season or off-season practices, dependent on when practices are allowed to begin. In the meantime, stay safe, stay home, and stay excited for what UODB has planned!

Hi all, We hope you are all staying safe during this difficult time. While the possibility of the start of the summer season's on the water practices is in question and most gyms now closed, there are still things you can do to train while still practicing social distancing (in fact, many health organizations are reporting that exercising during this outbreak is beneficial to your health and immune system!). On the water practices were predicted to begin around the 2nd week o...f May, however if the situation remains in it's current state it is likely this will be delayed. If this is the case, we will be sure to let you know. We hope you have a safe rest of the semester and we will see you on the water this summer!
