Actively trying to accept that I’ll never have clean mirrors again Would you believe me if I told you I washed this one this morning??? I’ve been quieter on my social lately. Partially due to the fact that I am feeling like I may have bitten off more than I can chew these days, partially because something had to give and it wasn’t going to be the things that needed to be priority. I do enjoy my social media but being present for my family and giving the best I can to ...those who depend on me most is so much more important. I’m working on some new things for my business that will complement my busy and not add to it. I’m learning that I can’t give 100% to being a mom, 100% to my job, 100% to my classes, 100% to my spouse (who has been a rockstar in helping me out lately ) and 100% to my business. Something has to give. This lady blew me away with her dedication and commitment to the last challenge. I am so incredibly proud of her and she scored herself a sweet prize Here’s what she had to say: I started out Em’s 60 day challenge as a first time mom at 5 months postpartum. I was ready to have some normalcy and routine back into my life after the world wind that the 4th trimester is. I loved that I was able to get my work out done before my daughter woke up for the day but if I missed... it then I still had the chance to catch the replay during one of her naps! Because the workouts are less than 30 minutes start to finish I felt motivated to work hard for the full time and push my body to new limits. I found the workouts just hard enough that I was losing weight and building muscle but not to hard that I would talk myself out of doing them each day. The meal plan was just as easy to incorporate into my life as the workouts were. As long as I was eating whole foods and appropriate portions I was good to go. I loved the accountability from the group to continue to strive in reaching my goals especially when Christmas was around the corner and temptations presented themselves more often. Em also made it very clear that treating yourself without feeling guilty and with in moderation was part of fitting the challenge into your life long term. I feel confident that I’ll be able to continue the habits I built throughout the 60 days to support me in working on my goals moving forward. - Client C. TRANSFORMATION TUESDAYYY What one of my top transformation babes from my last challenge had to say: Emma’s program has helped me not only lose some pounds and fit my own clothes again but I now have more energy and a better mind set throughout my day. I can do exercises easily that were very difficult at first !... The morning live workouts are just what I needed , cutting out some sugar and sticking with healthy breakfasts and lunches allowed me to see progress and also curb my serous sweet tooth! I’ll be sticking with these challenges for awhile This busy momma works full time and chases 3 kids around. She didn’t make up excuses. Nothing stopped her and she made it happen. 2020 has been a year of trials and challenges to say the least. It has been hard. We have worked harder. Reflecting on the year, it’s easy enough to say what a crappy year, and in some (maybe even lots of) cases this is true. But I would be willing to bet that you could look back at 2020 and find some good. Maybe a new family member joined your world. Maybe you discovered a new hobby or passion. Maybe you overcame challenges that seemed like Mount Everest at first.... There was good to be found in 2020. For me, I stepped way out of my comfort zone and away from what was safe. I took the opportunity of time to pursue my personal training certificate and while it has made me busier than I’ve ever been, it has brought me so much joy. Rewards lie outside your comfort zone. When you’re willing to push yourself to try something new or get past a mental block you’ve had about something you want. I challenge you in 2021 to try something new. Do something for YOU. After a year of overcoming obstacle after obstacle, set yourself up for success next year. Set goals and make a plan to achieve them. Today only, my Total Transform Challenge is on for $120. What pushes you? We are all motivated to do good by something or someone in our lives. Whether it is helping others, working hard to do our best to become healthier moms, sisters, friends, partners. When I work with my clients I have told them that they need to set a goal and remember why they started their journeys. Because half way through, if they’re not seeing the results they’d hoped for, they will give up. So they need to be reminded WHY they are working toward the...ir goals. My why is always my kids. Forever. I want them to feel positive and confident in their own bodies and that starts with me. How they see me treating my body and how they hear me talk about it. We live in a society that shames you no matter what your body looks like. Too skinny; she needs some meat on her bones. Too fat; she looks unhealthy. Too muscular; she looks butch. We idealize a certain body type but why? Being thin and lean does not mean you’re healthy and vice versa. So practice body positivity. Give yourself some positive affirmations and remind yourself that you’re a rockstar, even if you carry a little extra, even if you’ve been called butch or too skinny or any other name in the book.
