Learning how to hip-hop dance like this isnt easy in isolated communities, but a program that travels from community-to-community is changing that. Read more: https://www.cbc.ca/1.5100972
Today we donated a refurbished a complete drum kit to the Evergreen Basic Needs after school music program in Gimli, MB. at the request of Karen Bowman who is the Co-Executive Director at Evergreen Basic Needs. Back row from left to right: Karen Bowman, Anders Rafael and Ali Ford who runs the After School Music Program. For those following our page, you may recall Anders is responsible for numerous other after school music programs in Gimli and Arborg, MB. Anders was on hand to help out and will be teaching on the after school program. The young ladies in the front row are involved in the program as participants and are sisters. :)

Yesterday's donation to a student at William Whyte School. The lucky student was not available to accept the kit, however we will post pictures of the student with the kit soon. Other than the drum throne the rest of the kit was donated by Mrs. Chapman on behalf of her late son Marty who had been a regular contributor to our program.
We have another donation coming up soon. If anyone has some new or very lightly used drum sticks they would like to donate please contact us. Also we could use a few decent drum thrones to complete kits we are donating. We would like to thank all the people who have generously supported our program over the years. Many have donated to the cause multiple times which is amazing! We also are looking for snare drums because people will donate shell packs, however, snares, hardware and cymbals are donated less frequently. Same is true for sticks and drum thrones. Any donations will be posted with your permission. "Playing" it forward is what we do. Thank you.
