Upholstery by Arlo

Recaro backrest out of my 84’ T/A, 36yrs old and showing some wear. Pontiac commissioned Recaro to make 1,500 pairs of matching seats for the 15th anniversary Trans Ams of which only 1,500 were built. I endeavoured to find the special cloth to restore them, but hit a brick wall. This is part of the reason I’ve chosen to not restore this particular Bird. I will be using a sapphire blue leather on the seats and interior panels. Updates to come

Another piece of the puzzle for Dans Harley seat. Over 100yr old saddle bags to be used on his ride. Shannon at Buckskin Leather Depot in Edmonton helped him pick out a distressed leather to go on his seat to bring the plan together. Stay tuned

Gonna try a little sumthin over the next little bit. Fellow brought in a Harley seat and wants something a bit different for his ride. So this is a before pic. Stay tuned for the next step.

I’ve been in this Upholstery Gig just shy of 42yrs now, some days it seems like a life sentence other days.......... I have a tendency towards perfectionism but sadly seldom attain that level in my own eyes. Only a handful of times in all my years have I achieved that. This seat is no exception, there are always a couple of things I’d do different. But all in all I believe it is one of the nicest Square Body seats I’ve designed and executed. Hope the customer likes it. Gonna send him a pic now and get his reaction. My 1st post of 2021

Today’s mission, which apparently I chose to accept Convertible top install on an ultra rare 1968 Shelby Mustang Convertible, 428 Cobra Jet, 4speed,factory air car.

Black Bitch in Garage Shots studio today, gonna be fun to see her in a magazine of this caliber. Was a fun afternoon watching Darren do his thing.

Have ya all ever done something knowing you will NEVER do that thing again? For me I experienced my LAST boat tarp this past week, between my carpal tunnel and my arthritis,I’ve decided this is the end of the line............ Headliner and Windlace in the Oldsmobile!!!

1969 Elcamino factory 396ci 4speed. Put a new vinyl roof cover on it yesterday, should be pretty sweet when it’s finished.

I met this gentleman shortly after moving to Edmonton, he’s a hands on kinda guy. I’ve upholstered a couple cars for him now, but this one is a joint effort. He’s building a 1954 Chev on an S-10 chassis. Today we are working together on the headliner, I’ve done a number of these old trucks and have never been quite happy with the finished product, maybe that’s will be the one
