Presenting to an empty room is not how I imagined I would end my first Toastmasters Pathway but during a pandemic you roll with it. After 16 speeches, 8 weeks as Toastmasters host, leading two training sessions and countless table topics I can confidently say I am a better and more confident speaker. I joined to slow down my auctioneer’s pace. While my speaking hasn’t slowed down as much as I would have liked; it gives me something to work on during my second pathway. A big thanks to all my fellow toasties in Uptown Toastmasters -Toronto. Your support has been a big reason why I have been so successful.

January 18, 2021 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Today we celebrate the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who devoted his life to the pursuit of justice and equality for all. Martin Luther King Day is celebrated every year on the 3rd Monday in January. Take a moment to honor Dr. King’s work and reflect on his dream, may it become yours as well. This is one of the most powerful, meaningful speeches ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vDWWy4CMhE
