For Phylis: 4 years ago, we posted an amazing piece of art created by @obeygiant. and received this somewhat deranged and angry email. besides having serious issues with the proper use of the word "your" and "you're " the email shows how art can agitate for change. you can see the art by scrolling right. it shows a Muslim/American woman draped in a hijab adorned with the American flag. a symbol of acceptance promoting unification of women who were about to march. a beautiful ...piece of art with a powerful message of acceptance. @obeygiant was giving these posters away free to anyone going on the million woman March. I am always amazed at the power of art and activism to bring change to the world.
