Hello there! We are almost ready to open up our booking calendar! We are currently gathering supplies like Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), approved sanitizers and disinfectants, and other items we will need to provide the safest treatment possible. To ensure the risk of exposure remains low we will require the following from you: -Before booking an appointment you will take the self-screening survey here: https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en and follow the recommendations... they make. -We require a mask to be worn while inside the clinic and during treatment. Please bring one with you. -The waiting room will be off limits. You will have to wait outside or in your car if you arrive early. Aim for no more than 5 minutes early, please. -Arrive unaccompanied, unless they are your interpreter. Do not bring friends, children, pets, personal belongings (ie: baggage/groceries) with you into the clinic. -You will be required to wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds with warm water and soap when you arrive. Booking availability will be limited. Some therapists will be working with their current clients only and may not take new cases for a while. We have staggered appointment start times in order to limit the interaction with other clients. If you have a preferred therapist without the availability you need please email [email protected] and we can forward your request to them.

Thanks for all your messages of support and booking inquiries. We are waiting for recommendations from our regulatory bodies {RMT & PT} for how to reopen and how to provide the safest treatments possible. We aren't quite ready to take bookings yet. Hang in there!

Illness prevention: You might have heard about the corona virus recently. If you haven't please read websites you trust to inform yourself about it. Like any cold or flu virus the easiest way to protect yourself is to wash your hands properly and to avoid touching your face, nose, mouth or eyes with unwashed hands. If you have a cough it is most appropriate to cough into a tissue and dispose of it. If no tissue is available cough into the crook of your elbow. Of course, if y...ou are sick it is best to stay home and rest, and to not put others at risk. We will be posting some information in the clinic about handwashing procedure and illness prevention. Hello hello!! Our reduced scent policy was picked up by Globe and Mail writer Brenda Bouw and she wrote an article about it and we had some photos taken. We've already had some emails of support from those appreciative of the policy, and even one from an encouraging Saskatchewan reader.

Hello there! We need your help! We are aiming toward a REDUCED SCENT environment at Urban Healing because fragrance and odor have made the space inaccessible to some of our clients. Would you please assist us by not using scented personal products such as/but not limited to perfumes, hair product, lotions, essential oils, nail polish, laundry detergents/dryer sheets, febreeze, or smoking BEFORE your appointment? Going forward, we will also be phasing out some of scented soaps and cleaners we use around the clinic and will refill with unscented alternatives. We can't promise an entirely scent free space but do need your help to reduce the amount of scent since it lingers in the soft furnishings and common spaces. Please and big thank you's!
