Happy day! Check out the video in the earlier post below!
- The more accurate but less exciting story you won’t see in your news feed today. - Before you decide to share the now 'close to a million times viewed' video ...(there are at least 6 edited versions) about the mother cougar protecting her young and escorts a jogger away; decide on facts not sensationalism. At *5:41* video time the cougar flees after rocks were thrown at her. Why did he decide to wait so long while continuing to video? Now many news outlets are not sharing the segment with the cub/kits(s) present to boost the manufactured fear. Biases towards wildlife begin like this. Please understand that our words and actions matter. Be fair, kind and share the entire story. Choose not to share falsehoods about wildlife. They got it tough enough already. Good this situation ended well for all. See more
Without your continued love and support we at UWC cannot continue to help the injured and orphaned wild animals in our community. So from all of us and the patients at UWC we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Much Love. XO

Don't forget the little heroes in our community! When 7 year old Naomi Tolhoek had her birthday party she asked for monetary donations for a rescue. She and her mom Laura chose UWC and presented us with a cheque for $250 dollars! That will help us feed the many injured and orphaned wild animals in our care!! A big hug from all of us and the animals at UWC! XO!
Today is National Raccoon appreciation day . To all those little masked bandits, thank you for making the world a better place .
Thanks for your support!
