Italian police say they have broken up a child abuse ring used to share illicit material, including photos of newborns, via an instant messaging platform. Police said on Saturday that the crackdown involved dozens of search warrants and led to the arrest of three people for allegedly possessing what was described in a statement as huge quantities of pornographic material depicting minors. About 50 people are under investigation. The police statement said investigators had discovered photos of nude minors and other horrifying content, depicting actual sexual violence where the victims were often newborns. Police said some of the images had been produced at home. Material was exchanged on an instant messaging platform that investigators did not identify except to say it was well-known.

51 year old teacher with Peel District School Board arrested. "Police said their investigators recently received information that the teacher had a relationship with a 17-year-old female student over the course of several months beginning in June 2016."

As a result of that investigation 10 men were arrested, including a Toronto police officer. Constable Peter Roberts, 49, was arrested on March 13 and charged with obtaining sexual services for consideration from persons under 18 years of age.

A capper is an individual who tricks kids into committing a sexual act over live stream while screen capturing or recording a video. Some cappers will use the childs images/videos to extort them for more sexual images or money.

PWAP was started in 2014, when I was in grade 12. As I began to learn more about the reality of modern day slavery in Canada and around the world, I wanted to provide a tangible opportunity for my peers to learn about what was happening and support powerful organizations comb...ating this issue. The idea to host a Prom with a Purpose was born from a conversation with my mom at the kitchen counter and, over the following months, our event was built by a small team of friends and family in my living room. In June 2014 we hosted our first PWAP and 6 years later we are still going strong! There have been both victories and challenges over the years and we continue to grow, change, and develop as God has continued to guide us year after year. In the past 6 years we have hosted 7 events, welcomed over 400 guests, supported 5 powerhouse organizations, moved to a second city, and raised over $20,000 for the fight against sex trafficking. Although this year is not what we expected, we cannot wait to be together for our Toronto event when the time comes and, until then, we continue to stand for justice alongside so many. To all of you who have attended our events, donated, volunteered with us, prayed for us, been on our team, listened to my story, stayed to help clean up, advocated for us, invited others to join us, and supported both me and PWAP over the years thank you.
