Making connections and building your professional network begins well before your career does. The classmates, professors and faculty members, advisors, and anyone else you interact with has the potential to become an important part of your network. Making these connections can be as easy as just getting involved on campus, but it can have big payoff down the road in the form of strong, developed professional relationships! #CareerMonth2020 http://ow.ly/lrmy50CtPWO

A healthy work-life balance looks different for each individual. This balance point is a constant trade-off between work and life. It is a continual realignment of available resources (time, money, energy, etc.) to meet the needs and goals of certain priorities. While there are many tactics and strategies to help you achieve a healthy work-life balance, the easiest place to start is with self-reflection. Take time to reflect on your priorities, the amount of resources they require, and also the emotions, feelings, or stress that they may put on you. Knowing and understanding the interactions of all these factors will help to maximize your happiness and use of resources, while minimizing your burnout and stressotherwise known as your balance point! #CareerMonth2020 http://ow.ly/iz1E50CmWUt
Work-life balance is an important aspect of a healthy life and healthy work environment as it helps reduce stress, and prevents burnout. Finding a healthy balance can be quite tough though. It requires a a great level of self-awareness so that you can prioritize all of the demands of your career and personal life. Like many things in life, achieving a healthy balance in your life comes with practice. You learn and adjust as you go, continually adapting and changing your priorities as you grow. #CareerMonth2020 http://ow.ly/uD0l50Cma9k
