As we fight the pandemic in unison, more than 600 people from 70 countries and 27 states in the United States spent three days coding and collaborating as part of a hackathon to address the post COVID-19 economic recovery. The event was part of a partnership between the U.S. embassies in Estonia, Latvia, Denmark and Lithuania: https://go.usa.gov/xAaMq

The U.S. Consulate team and I had a great introductory discussion with the Mayor of Markham Frank Scarpitti. We look forward to expanding the ways the Consulate partners with the City of Markham one of the most diverse cities of Ontario and home to numerous American businesses! CG Susan Crystal

On Veteran's Day and Remembrance Day, we remember and honor those who serve and sacrifice. This year, we were especially moved by the efforts of staff at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, who organized a thoughtful and safe Remembrance Day program to honor Canada's veterans. We were grateful for the opportunity to lay a wreath as part of the Centre's virtual program. #LestWeForget

Today, we celebrated the United States Marine Corps birthday at the U.S. Consulate General Toronto with CG Susan Crystal and USMC colleagues. It was an honor to commemorate 245 years of honor, courage and commitment while remembering the service and sacrifice of all Marines. #HappyBirthdayMarines!
