Today Area Council President Paul Loosley & NextGen Regional Rep Jay McDonnell went shopping for socks. Thank you to the staff at the Giant Tiger Hydepark & Springbank. They ended up with a donation of 1200 socks for 519pursuit in their annual sock drive. Hello Brothers & Sisters Please join the Area council in assisting 519pursuit in their 3rd annual sock drive. The goal of 519Pursuit as set is 55,000 pairs of socks and I believe Steelworkers can help them reach that goal. I know Covid-19 has eliminated the opportunity for us the be engaged in the community so I see this sock drive as an opportunity for Steelworkers to starting doing what Steelworkers do and help the people of the community that desperately need to keep thei...r feet warm in the upcoming winter. If you are able start a collection at your workplace, please make a Motion at your next meeting and then get a hold of myself or your Staff Rep and we can arrange for a pickup of cash or socks. Please print the attached flyer and put up at your workplaces. I am very interested to see how many pairs of socks we can fit into our Steelworkers trailer.
