Recovery is not linear. It includes moments of triumph, as well as setbacks, and everything in between. Even though the world seems to be on pause at the moment and access to supports may be limited, your recovery does not have to stop too. YOU can still do this! You have a strength and wisdom from within to navigate your way to a place where the ED voice does not dominate your thoughts, feelings, and actions. You can still work on recovery. You can celebrate the victories..., no matter how seemingly small. You can acknowledge the setbacks with kindness. And you can renew your commitment to personal healing. Continue with your therapy sessions online, if that’s available to you Utilize virtual meal support groups for gentle and kind encouragement to take another bite Reread that book on recovery that your therapist suggested Revisit your self-care toolbox and update it with resources that work for you Reach out to your local helpline AS SOON as you feel you need it Decide each day on ONE thing you are going to do to move yourself further forward on your path Whatever you do, don’t give up on yourself We are here cheering you on and if you need additional support, just let us know.
