Yesterday was fun! My clients enjoyed trying out each painting on the wall this week. I went by yesterday for the big reveal! Which one would they choose? They each had different favs over the week, and in the end they both liked the warmth of this one! 'Rosy Reflections', 36"x48"... Perfect as the painting is for Rosie! Crop of this large ocean painting I'm working on today. I don't want to give too much away until the big reveal! I watched a great documentary on Abstract Expressionist Robert Motherwell and his strong contrasty paintings have stuck with me.. Tools of the trade.. Did you know that up until the impressionist era brushes were only available in round format? The impressionists loved the flat square end of the new brushes and how they made painting flecks of light on the water so much more effective..little short lines instead of the fat marks a round brush would make. #perspective #flatbrushes #impressionists #technologyandart
