MEET THE EXEC: Mayadevi Murthy Mayadevi Murthy is finishing her undergraduate degree in the study of Religion and Critical Equity and Solidarity Studies. As a student she focuses on South Asian religion and is especially interested in the ways in which notions of collective belonging such as Hindu nationalism or regional Tamil identity are constructed and projected through media. Outside of her work with RUSA, Maya is part of the Women of South Asian Heritage Collective at UTSG, is a student organizer with the UofT Mental Health Policy Council, and serves on the DSR's Anti Racism, Decolonization, and Equity Committee. She is currently looking for friends to swap cookie recipes and talk with about Grey's Anatomy.
