If any families in the Woodstock area want a pledge sheet for our Superhero Autism Awareness walk there are some available for pick up at the Multicultural Association of Carleton County (MACC) 647 Main Street, Woodstock Monday - Friday 8:30 -4:30... Together lets raise awareness and support our superheroes in our Communities.

On Oct. 9th we will be doing our walk and roll outside if you would like to join us at 3:30pm for 15minutes of social distancing stroll around the parking lot to celebrate Disability Awareness Weeks 33rd year!

We would like to say a big "Thank you" to Kimberly Martin for hosting an Epicure fundraiser for UVARC, we received $150.00 Its our supportive friends, family and communities that are always there to show their support!

A new project getting ready to start soon

We are getting excited about this fun event that EVERYONE with ALL ABILITIES and ages can participate, autism has touched so many lives in our communities, our provinces, our Countries and our world, part of this event will be virtual and live on Facebook from wherever you are. Some of us will be doing actively walking, running or biking on the NB Trail in Perth-Andover on Oct. 3rd from 11-1pm so we can social distance ourselves on the trail and keep everyone safe. Tell your friends, co-workers, family, teachers and any professionals that want to show their support for a superhero and be a superhero by showing their support!!!

We only have a month before schools go back in and we are selling $10 number squares for a chance to win $500. We will be having a Walk and Roll here at UVARC during the Week of October 4th-10th to help celebrate Disability Awareness Week- a 15minute stroll outside to raise awareness and participate in this little challenge. This was interesting, I see my son as having anxiety but this makes sense as he has many sensory issues which can cause an anxiety response!
