Here are five easy ways to support Indigenous people in your community working to revive their languages. These ideas and this video are based on a guide created by Onowa McIvorIndigenous education researcher at the University of Victoriawith the Canadian Commission on UNESCO. It’s based on research by McIvor as part of the national language revitalization project called NEOLEW, translated as one mind, one people or doing things as one in the SENOEN language.
