Hey everyone! Thanks for those who came to our EOT, we loved having you there! And for the people that came out this term to our events and reached out! We're wishing everyone a positive exam season. Remember to take care of yourself, study well and that there's only one real playlist to study to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TI8rr4PmEI

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-019-00857-9 Here's a cool paper we thought to share! With the term coming to a close, there won't be any more BIC event's other than the EOT, but we'll still keep showing you cool stuff relating to bioinformatics. This is a fun read that shows the importance of being critical with what tools you use and the conclusions you draw from them.

Hey everyone! Journal club will be running at a different room this week, MC4048, but it's still taking place at 5:30 pm on Thursday! The paper was sent out by email, please reach out to us if you haven't received it. We've finally broken the pattern of doing papers on bacteria! This week's presentation is in the theme of human evolution, looking at some human ancestors: the Neanderthal and the Denisovan! ... The food provided at the meeting is not yet confirmed, but we'll be updating this post to prepare anyone that may have dietary restrictions!
