Dear CNSA Alumni, This year is a big year for CNSA, and one of the reasons why is the renewal of the CNSA Strategic Plan. The CNSA Strategic Planning Committee... has been working diligently over the last year to develop a strategic plan that benefits the 30,000 nursing students we represent nationwide. However, due to the events that are occurring around the world in relation to COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter, the strategic plan has unfortunately not been prioritized as it should have been while CNSA has responded to the needs of its members. This situation has led us to seek out assistance from our valued CNSA alumni. Therefore, we would like to formally invite you to be part of the strategic planning process. The knowledge and expertise you have cultivated as a past CNSA member and now working in the nursing field is invaluable and would greatly contribute to our strategic plan. We are creating a CNSA alumni working group, as well as a Human Right and Equity working group to help inform our strategic plan to ensure it is all encompassing of the needs of nursing students today. These groups are intended to act in a consultative manner, however, there is also opportunity to become more involved as you see fit.
