SALSA 2020-2021 Campaign Caitlyn Marshall -Running for Events Rep, reliable, part of the Latin Fest dance team, helped set up for Latin Fest

Annabella Gessen "I am suited for the Communications Representative role because through my experience in Saugeen Maitland Hall’s residence council and a Saugeen Soph, I have had to learn from both successes and failures in my attempts to promote events. I have learnt that often, posters and graphics do not do enough at drawing attention. My passion for marketing will be an asset as I will be able to bring more creative and interactive promotional strategies to the western t...he community that I am sure will increase engagement not only on social media but also in events and SALSA initiatives. FInally, for the past year I have been able to work closely with two very amazing teams both on residence council and the soph team, because of this I know that I am able to work swiftly with anyone and especially provide lots of support to the VP communications next year. For your second preferred option: If I were chosen to be Events Representative, I would be able to share not only my creativity in planning events alongside the VP events but I would also be well suited for handling the load of responsibility that event planning brings with it. Through the Residence Council I have had the full responsibility of planning events completely on my own with little supervision or support from anyone. As Events Representative, I will be accustomed to the workload that events planning entails and because of this I will be of a lot of help to the VP Events. As I have also already mentioned, working in a team setting is second nature to me so I would be very excited to build relationships with everyone on the SALSA team as we work together to accomplish goals and spread the latin culture to the western community. "
