So, yesterday the provincial government announces a "new initiative" to encourage people to "show your love for local", and this initiative includes a campaign that "will launch on TV, radio, digital and social media." Seriously? Why would the government not "show your love for local" by advertising in the freaking LOCAL NEWSPAPER!!! Out of 220 across the province - not...one...ad. Not. Impressed. No one tries harder to promote local businesses than the key local business of a local paper. I can feel next week's editorial coming on...
