If you're struggling with setting some goals for 2021, how about a different approach? What if you asked yourself 2 questions: How do I want to feel? How do I want to show up in the world?... I'll share to help get you started. I want to feel energetic, confident and open. And I want to show up with positivity and compassion each and every day. Happy Monday friends! As 2021 quickly approaches, here are some tips to get you started on setting your goals or intentions for the new year. Studies show that only 3% of people write down their goals, yet it's one of the most powerful things you can do to help you achieve what you want in life. How do you want 2021 to go for you? Ya gotta put it out there in order to manifest it! Journaling prompts What goals will help you bring more of yourself forward? How do you w...ant to feel in 2021? What goals would you like to do regardless of the outcome? Think of a word or theme for the year that will help you set an intention for how you want to show up Activity prompts Create a vision board (the old-fashioned kind on a poster board using magazine cut outs, or there are lots of digital apps to create a digital one) Plan out your week every Monday morning (learn more in my blog at https://www.vaiconsulting.org//small-action-steps-lead-to-) Set quarterly goals and review each quarter Think about your goals/planning in 6-week sprints Get an accountability partner (friend, colleague, coach, trainer) Write a letter to yourself from the future (i.e. dated Dec 2021 and tell yourself all the great things you’ve accomplished in the past year) Write out a day in your ideal life (as if you’ve already accomplished it) Write out a List of 21 things you want to accomplish in 2021 (idea courtesy of Gretchen Rubin https://gretchenrubin.com/20//write-your-21-for-2021-list/) Start a life (bucket) list with 101 items on it Think about the concept of minimal viable action (i.e. what is the tiniest thing you can do every day to help you move towards your goal (read more here: https://unmistakablecreative.com/the-power-of-small-meanin/) More activities and journaling prompts can be found in my year end review and goal setting document (https://www.vaiconsulting.org//year-in-review-2021-goal-se) I wish you all the things you want to feel, achieve and accomplish in 2021.
