Meet real bride Hannah I affectionately named her my fairytale Nymph. Hannah was a beautiful bride with a beautiful soul. When we met to create her very unique custom gown, she said I want Lavender and gold, you probably think that's crazy Kim but I have a vision and I just need someone to understand what the look of the whole wedding is going to be. I was taken by this bride, she was honest, straightforward and had a smile that would brighten any room, and an aura of in...trigue. She was wearing harem pants, crystal necklaces and a scarf wrapped around her head that reminded me of a pirate. She was beautifully tattooed and I felt that each one of them held a special meaning. I needed to ask her more questions to inspire me. Hannah began to explain to me that she and her fiance own a Bohemian tea house @bampotteahouse, where she also lives. As she described the decor, I was immediately transported to a far of fantasy land as she told her love story it all began to make sense to me. As I began to sketch, the vision of her fairytale gown became a reality to her. I could see it all; the fairytale wedding set in the woods beside the lake. A small wooded gazebo decorated with carpets, tapestries, pillows, woodland florals, floating curtains and of course bampot teapots. A fairytale nymph in her Valencienne custom lavender and gold gown, and the gentleman @sparkystrange wearing an eleborite @trendcustom tailor suit. All of this put together by designers and makers who create art with a hefty amount of love for all of our special unique one of a kind clients. It's Friday, let's drink bottles of Champagne!! I say bottles because It's been that kind of week. We moved on August 15th and we have not stopped, during our move we had three brides getting married. Two of these brides were from the U.S. Which had its own set of challanges- more on that later. Our Toronto bride who we have affectionately called our fairytale nymph gal, was getting married on AUG 8th and the gown was a hand finishing extravaganza, very difficult very uniqu...e and lots of hand sewing . All of this was achieved while packing boxes, coordinating a move, renovating a new store and keeping our US Brides calm as their nerves where frazzled with the boarder closure, Valencienne had no alternative but to put our 35 years of experience to the test. We created one gown with only two fittings and the other gown with one fitting. Each gown was shipped and both gowns fit perfectly. Whew!!!! I gained ten pounds, have not seen my husband and needless to say, Social media went on the backburner!!
