Something I think ALL of us are needing a bit of right now. She's also been coaching me these past few months, and she has been basically a godsend. She's got a great podcast too and I always learn something valuable from her fluff-free content. @patrickguindonart for THE PRETTIEST PAINTED FLORALS YOU'LL EVER SEE! I recently commissioned an original from him, and it makes me smile every time I see it in our living room. He also is a teacher and superhuman parent, teaching adults to explore creativity. He's also taught me all art is ugly, until it’s not; we just need to believe in it and see it through. NOW BOOKING INTO 2021 Felt emo, might delete lol. This post is a little different from my usual, upbeat posts but I need to be transparent: Phew, what a year it's been! 2020 was supposed to be amazing. It was supposed to be THE year. But NOPE....... The wedding season that so many of us worked SO HARD for was WIPED OUT. Almost entirely. With the exception of a few small, still amazing weddings. Many of you don't know, but in July, I went back to my old full-time 9-5 job on contract to make up for the loss of income from 2020. I've been balancing running a business during the pandemic while also working 9-5 Mon-Fri, and shooting on the weekends, and guys, I'm tired. Grateful, but tired. I knew transitioning back wasn't going to be easy, but man, anyone else just feeling like they could hibernate for the rest of 2020?! Also, I made the decision that I will no longer be offering mini sessions, and only offer my regular, 1hr portrait sessions moving forward. With that said, I'm fully booked for the rest of the year, and I have some much needed DAYS OFF booked. What's a day off anyways?! So if you've been on the fence about booking a session, I'm opening up the books for January and February, and I can't wait to be rested and ready to serve you all! See more
