Email from Ms. Doran: Dear families, This year, parents are asked to register their children coming into Kindergarten at their current neighbourhood catchment school using the online registration located on our web site www.comoxvalleyschools.ca/student-registration between the dates of February 1-7, 2021. Please see attached form for all relevant information required to register your child for Kindergarten. We hope everyone does this by February 7th so we can staff our school properly for September. Feel free to pass this email along to other families that you know (in our catchment area) who do not have children at our school yet, but have a Kindergarten aged student (turning 5 years of age in 2021) for this coming September.

Kindergarten Registration for September 2021 will be online between February 1 to 7th. More detailed information will be sent out closer to that date. It is important that next year’s Kindergarten students are counted for our school to staff accurately based on these numbers. Mark your calendars for Friday January 28th. It is our next dress up day at Valley View. Crazy hair and/or outfit day. Please note: This is in two Fridays (not this week). Enjoy your week everyone.

Please try again later on if there is a problem with the streaming. Enjoy!... 2. This Friday Dec 18 is our last day of school and our Holiday Dress Up Day. Students are encouraged to wear whatever holiday wear they wish: tacky Christmas sweaters, Christmas PJs, fancy holiday dress, Santa hat, reindeer antlers, etc. 3. Attached are the Holiday Doors of Valley View which our staff and students have enjoyed making and viewing inside our school this holiday season. 4. Our lost and found has several items and all items will be placed outside the front office for this week each day from 8:15 am until 3pm. Please have a look and claim any items before they get donated to charity. 5. We return to school on Monday January 4, 2021.

BC Children's Hospital and UBC are looking for participants to provide a small blood sample to determine the prevalence of COVID in youth under 25.
