Good evening everyone, Just a quick update on our registration status. We are still experiencing some issues with E2E, our registration platform. They are currently working on a couple of our divisions. We truly hope to have registration up and running soon. Once the issues are resolved, we will post on our Facebook page and main website, that registrations are open for both players and referees. Once again, sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. I...f you have any questions, please feel free to send us an email or message. Thank You, Heidi Murphy VESC President

Valley East Soccer Club 13.01.2021

Hello to all the members of the Valley East Soccer Club My name is Heidi Murphy and I am the new president of the board of directors for the Valley East Soccer Club. I have been on the board of directors for 4 years in a couple different positions. I am excited to have stepped up to a new role and look forward to the soccer season ahead. We had an amazing AGM meeting this past November with one the best turn outs I have seen since being on the board. All but one position... has been filled. I would like to thank all past members and also those that came out to our AGM. We would not be here if it wasn't for our membership and all our fantastic volunteers. Our board of directors is completely volunteer based. I would like to take a moment to introduce our new board of directors for the 2021 season President: Heidi Murphy Vice-President: vacant Secretary: Marc Ceccanese Treasurer: Steven Horne Registrar: Amy Mahy Director Of Sponsorship and Uniforms: Gaston Guinard Director of Scheduling and Playoffs: Laurie Larose Director of Social Media: Andy Taylor Director of Discipline and CRC's: Stephanie Rose Members at large: Donovan Proulx Mary Lou Bolger Nadia Blasutti Christina Boggs Shawna Pagnutti It was very disappointing as a club and I am sure for our membership as well, that we had to cancel our soccer season last year. Our board of directors meets once every month to discuss club business. We have decided that we would like to try to have a 2021 soccer season. We are going to open our online soccer registrations on January 31st, 2021, in hopes of being able to play soccer this year. Please know that we are doing everything in our power to host a 2021 soccer season but we are at the mercy of the city and province. We do not know what the future holds. If we have to cancel like last year we will be refunding the registration fees for players. If we are able to play soccer this year it may look a little different this season.. It will all depend on what colour phase we are in based on Covid-19 numbers, whether or not the city will open the Howard Armstrong soccer fields and if we can get all the protocols in order.. The health and safety of our club, players and community will always come first. Please keep checking our website and Facebook page for updates. Heidi Murphy VESC President

We've rescheduled our AGM to November 4th at 7pm. The meeting will be via Zoom. We've created an Event for this so you can RSVP if you plan to attend. We will follow up and send you the meeting info to join. As Donovan said in his last post, we really need the support of the members of this club to continue to provide the organization and support our kids and the parents have come to expect year after year. The more people we have involved the easier it is to spread the work around. If you are unable to attend, but would still like more information about getting involved, please contact us. Look forward to seeing you at the meeting. Let's keep soccer happening for generations to come in the Valley.

Valley East Soccer Club 23.10.2020

Hello everyone. We have decided to postpone our annual AGM that was scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday October 14th/2020 ) again this year due to the lack of public interest. There are many reasons why this is concerning. First and foremost is the future of the Valley East Soccer Club. Our proud Club has been community run and managed by local volunteers for decades. We have accomplished great things over the years. We have built bigger and better fields. We have gathered our... community at hosted events and have nurtured our youth through team building and play. We have partnered with other local organized sports clubs and charity groups to host some of the most amazing and free festivals our community has seen. We have been around long enough to watch as our Timbit players grow into amazing young adults and become parents and Coaches themselves with the VESC. Seasonally we employ dozens of young teens giving them work experience and spending money. We are a Club built on generations of players, spectators and Coaches. We are part of Valley Easts past, present and hopefully future. The future part depends on all of us! Here is the current situation. Without new volunteer's for 2021, there very well could be no season. Q- How does this impact you and the Club? 1) If we are unable to host a season next year, we do not have the ability to secure field rentals from the City. If this happens, other sports groups will book the Valley Fields. We could end up in a situation the following season having to book fields across Greater Sudbury and not only in our own backyard. 2) If we are unable to take registrations, there is no money to pay for things like, equipment, supplies, accountants or even Club insurance. 3) If your child wants play, you need to be prepared to travel across the greater City on weekday evenings. 4) Our community will lose a Club that has been around for well over 40 years. 5) Other soccer organizations may be contacted to take over the VESC and all of it's assets. We know times have changed and it's a much different world out there today but with kindness, patience, acceptance of others, a little resolve and a little of your help, we can keep this Club alive and well for many more generations to come. Let's keep what we have all helped to build in our community. Let's stand together and lead the VESC into the future. Whether it be back to the way things were, or forge ahead into a new soccer era, we can do it together. All we need is you! In closing, our AGM is mandatory as per our constitution and will be held (at a future date to be announced) regardless of whether or not we have any attendance. If you are interested in helping us weather this storm and want to be forever know as a ROCKSTAR that helped save your local Soccer Club, please contact us at [email protected] for more information. Sincerely, Donovan Proulx Vice President

It's only with the help of Delta Bingo and Gaming that our Club is able to help give back to our community and it's youth. Our recent donation made this summer to Backpack Buddies of Sudbury is only one small thing made possible by the tireless efforts of our Bingo volunteers! A BIG thank you from everyone at the VESC!

As metioned in the video, our AGM is scheduled for Wednesday Oct 14th at 7:00. It will be via ZOOM so that we maintain physical distancing. If you would like to attend, we ask that you email [email protected] and request the link to the meeting. Only those being given the link will be able to connect. As also mentioned, Here are the Board positions available for the 2021 Season. Your help and involvement is paramount this up coming season. Positions that need to be f...illed: Executive: President: 2 year term UP NEXT SEASON. Only one year remaining in current term. President and Vice need to be staggered years. President position will need to be voted in again next year for 2022 season. Currently Vacant Vice-President: 2 year term. This is my last year after 17 years. Secretary: Currently held by Heidi who is willing to stay on. 2 year term Directors: Registrar: 2 year term. Julie is stepping down but willing to help out if needed once the new person is in place. Director of scheduling: and play-offs. 2 year term. Mark is willing to stay on, We are possibly looking at splitting scheduling and playoffs to two positions. Director of Public Relations: technically a 2 year term. Andy stayed on to help. Will need to be voted in again in 2021. Andy is willing to stay on but would like some help Club Head Referee: Currently held by Kody. Director of sponsorship and Uniforms: Gaston still has one more year in this position. He would like help or possibly split the position in 2. Again, thank you everyone for your support and patience. OSA's return to play for phase three came out very late but I am happy to see that there is soccer currently being played in our City while following all rules and regulations. Sincerly, Donovan Proulx VP
