For the month of December Valley Fiber is partnering with Golden West Radio to support Genesis House, a local shelter for abused women and their children. Unable to host their usual fundraisers this year, including their annual golf tournament and banquet, Genesis House needs your support this year more than ever! That is why over the month of December Valley Fiber will be matching all donations to Genesis House through the charity portal at pembinavalleyonline.com/season-of-...giving up to a total of $5,000. Everyone who donates will be entered to win prizes throughout the month of December, and to try to encourage even more donations Valley Fiber will be offering three months of faster speeds with a minimum donation for current and future Valley Fiber customers! Genesis House is a shelter for abused women and their children, operating locally in Winkler and Morden as well as providing assistance across Southern Manitoba. Funds raised through this partnership will be going to support the programs and resources organized by Genesis House. Your donation can help ensure that a child waking up on Christmas morning has presents under the tree and food to eat while Genesis House gives them a safe place to stay. Other services that Genesis House provides include safe harbour for those in abusive situations, short and long term counselling as well as support services, a 24-hour crisis line, advocacy for those in need, and referrals for financial assistance, lawyers, CFS, education, and employment.
