How can your small business benefit from a blog? Ultimately, it can help you get more sales, which is what we all want at the end of the day. Right? Check out my IG stories or read on for more info. 1. SEO - Google likes new, fresh, relevant content and is constantly scouring the internet for the answers to questions people are asking every day. And the more of these questions you answer, the more authority your website will have overall, and then better you will do as a whol...e in search results. 2. CONTENT - Blogging gives you tons of content! One blog post can be repurposed strategically into many different different forms of content to be shared across your platforms. TIP: Use branded templates to change your images, headings and descriptions to tailer the same content to different searches. 3. BUILD RELATIONSHIPS - Good content leads to engagement - take advantage of this and have conversations! Getting to know your audience will not only build trust, but will give you better insight into the content they really want to see. 4. BRAND RECOGNITION - Be top of mind when your industry comes up. Continuously showing up with quality content and building those relationships will make you memorable when they are ready to buy. Even if some of your followers aren’t your ideal client - they may know and refer you to someone who is! 5. AUTHORITY - Establish your brand/business as an expert in your niche/industry. You can have brand recognition with a negative association. You want to make sure you foster those relationships, answer questions, and provide enough value that are not only in their minds, but respected, and trusted. Remember - blogging is a long game! You won’t see results overnight. Happy New Year! To kick off 2020 I’m sharing one of my recent projects, a website for award-winning makeup artist, educator and now author, @nataliesetareh in support of her new book- @beyourownmakeupartist. What made me excited about this project?... I’ve always found makeup pretty intimidating. It’s taken me 15 years just to find a mascara that I like. If you’re anything like me, you’ve got questions. Questions that have only had biased answers from industry professionals or people trying to sell you something.
