It's almost time!!
This is incredible! These young cats seem to be getting themselves into all kinds of trouble this time of year! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5087603
Thanks to a Valley of Trails user we have a friendly reminder to always stay aware of your surroundings when your out hiking. A local resident was out and about in the Valley with his dog this week, when three wolves made their presence known to him! It sounded like a pretty intense situation. In the next few weeks the local wildlife is going to start getting more active. And food is scarce this time of year, so be extra sure to keep your kids and pets close at hand.
How cool is this?! Climbing one of North America's highest waterfalls, right here in the Valley! #ValleyOfTrails #ExploreVancouverIsland
Join the Valley of Trails Group! We just created a group for Valley of Trails! This will be an informal public group created with the goal of bringing like minded people together on Vancouver Island, to share their love of the outdoors. Locals and visitors alike, are encouraged to share their photos and trip reports, ask questions, and share your knowledge. This group is for those who want to share their love of hiking, camping, biking, climbing, now showing, and kayaking.... Check it out! https://www.facebook.com/groups/ValleyOfTrails/
Remember when this went viral a couple weeks back?? Guess all 391,075 of us should have collectively knocked on wood! #Karma #ValleyOfTrails #SnowDay
How cool is this?! Cave explorers in the Valley discovered a new to science species of rare and primitive arthropod from the depths of a cave that was covered by a thick ice sheet until recently! https://m.phys.org//2019-02-ice-age-survivors-stranded-sub
