1976 Ampeg V4 - Distortion model. Ain't she just beautiful! Just about finished recapping. I was able to find all the tubes locally! Ya Vancouver! Im looking forward to hear the drive channel. I've heard it's a little on the useless side but I'm resourceful with a ton of fuzz pedal options. I must decide between 3 different great amp choices for Mink Valley's sound and sell off the others: ... 1970 Ampeg - amazing clean sound with master volume mod (I brought it back from the dead for sentimental reasons - my birth year:) 1976 Ampeg - a work in progress 1974 fender Deluxe Reverb - replaced all the transformers and choke with boutique iron from Mercury Magnetics. It sounds unreal. They all have amazing reverb and clean sounds. All of the amps are begging me to keep them. It'll be sad to see any of these go. What would be your choice amp and why? See more

Anyone ever seen or played through one of these russian wives? The St.Petersburg P-100 was a notablely a well used item in that band called... Led Zeplin - !__! Cool! I had no idea until the need to fix one arose. She's stuffed with ABOUT TO BE EXTINCT POWER TUBES!! Luckily, the 6L6 GC is a perfect drop in replacement. (Give or take a bit here or there on paper) the 6N3CE is a russian military grade tube. 3 of the 4 original tubes are still alive!! Time to hunt some spares o...n the bay of E. For now, she - of P-100 fame, has a limp with 1 6L6 power tube trying to share philosophical ideals not knowing a squeaking bit of eachothers jibber jabber. Recapped and ready to roll. May she thrive for many more decades to come. See more

Who says cloning is bad? This thing rocks!! The pedal is a combo of an Electro Harmonix LPB-1 and a Fuzz Face. I sold it to a metal head who came to try it out and ended up jamming with the band for 2 hours!! %) - Awesome! I had a hard time letting it go - separation anxiety.... But the dude said he'd bring it back if ever he wanted to give it up. I'm never gonna see that one again ... sigh - haha. What eve. I have 4 rad vids of this pedal with bass and guitar! This dude got a great deal for a hundred bucks! Let me know what ya think about the sound. I can make more!! Cheers, F See more

Once serviced, you can have even a home studio with the best sounding gear since 1960. This is a Berlant Concertone Real to Real preamp and tape deck. The construction and overall craftsmanship of this gear is the best I have ever worked on. The wire layout is meticulous, and the chassis floats the way an old ampeg V4 has shock mounts - this one has shock mounts with room to wiggle a bit. All the work is bassed around the best possible audio recording technology the world had at the time. Thanks again, Dylan! Your studio is amazing! I want 2 of them from santa :)
