Congratulations to Shauna Kubossek 2020 VST graduate. She is the winner of the 2020 Charles Hefling Student Essay Competition sponsored by the Anglican Theological Review. "Our judges were very impressed by your paper, "Kenotic Hospitality and the Eucharist: An Alternative Economy," and were united in their choice of your work as the winning submission. Heartfelt congratulations to you on this achievement!"... What wonderful news!

Our hearts go out to The Rev. Barbara Pilozow, VST graduate, whose husband, Ted (Tadeusz) Pilozow, was tragically killed in a traffic accident on September 22. Please remember Barbara, her family and their congregations in your prayers. Barbara ministers at St. John’s Presbyterian Church and is clerk of the Presbytery of Winnipeg. Ted was organist at Knox, Selkirk. God of hope and giver of all comfort, we commend to your tender care Barbara, her family and the congregations who mourn the loss of Ted. Give them peace which is beyond all understanding, and assure them that neither death nor life can separate them from your love in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

From The Director of the Indigenous Studies Program at VST, The Rev Dr. Ray Aldred. Friends, It is with sadness that I share what many of you have likely already heard that The Rev. Dr. Cecil Corbett has passed away from the pandemic virus Sept 6 at 5:54 pm. Cecil died peacefully while talking with his daughter. He was a faithful colleague and he will be missed by all. His efforts did much to advance the Indigenous Church. I am indebted to his faithfulness and will miss his insight and friendship. Our prayers go up for his family and friends. I pray also for all of you who knew Cecil much longer than I did and no doubt feel the pain of sorrow over his loss. https://www.facebook.com/groups/141708349182264/permalink/3513984121954653/
