The board of the society and its members is sad to hear of the passing of Dave Sharrock. Dave was a long time member of the society, served on the board and was a past chair. In the last few years, Dave live on Vancouver Island and remained dedicated to wooden boats and volunteering his time and efforts to organizations such as the Classic Yachting Association.
Even though these are challenging times, we are still in full planning mode for the festival in late August. Registration is open for vessels, exhibitors, non- profits. You can apply now, fill in the forms on our web site and we will not be reviewing all applicants until early May, so be sure to get your application in now. We know that this is a fluid situation, so as things develop we will make decisions about moving dates for registration, deadlines for payments and more. So dont miss out by waiting and not making it in this year. www.vancouverwoodenboat.com

Due to the coronavirus and health regulations, all upcoming courses in our wooden boat center are on hold. If you have registered for a course that is coming up in March or early April, we will either refund your payment or we can hold it until the course is re-scheduled. We will be in contact with you. Stay healthy.
Greenland paddle making class was a big success this past weekend. Students kept warm in the old shop by working hard to finish up by the end of the day. Due to low registration and the need for "social distancing", we may be looking at cancelling some of our upcoming programs. Stay tuned.
There are a couple of new listings on our "Boats for Sale" page on our web site. Check them out at http://vancouverwoodenboat.com/market/marketplace-listings/

Thanks to all the members who volunteered to hand out information at our booth at the boat show. We handed out hundreds of pamphlets on our spring programs and met tons of wooden boat owners and enthusiasts. We have already had some feedback on our programs, so all your hard work pays off.
We are at the Boat Show in booth 456 on the concourse. Come and see some of the wooden boats on display and enter to win a radio controlled sail boat by simply making a donation to the society. Funds help to run programs at the wooden boat center.
