Any scheduled practices for today, Thursday Sept. 17 are CANCELLED. The air quality remains at 8 or 9 (High Risk). As well, all scheduled games and practices for the weekend are cancelled. We hope that the air will clear up for next week.... Please continue to check your email and/or social media for updates.

U11-U18 Games Cancelled Unfortunate, but not unexpected news. BC Coastal Soccer League have cancelled games this weekend due to persistent air quality issues. Opening weekend will be moved to Sep 25-27th. Vancouver Youth Soccer Association has also cancelled scheduled games for U11 & U12 Division 3. Practices and House League Games Watch your email for further VAFC updates over the next several days for practice and House League games cancellations. Assume practices and gam...es are on, unless posted otherwise. We would all love to start playing, but will make the decision on a daily basis, air quality allowing. If you have a scheduled practice time, that is cancelled, please use the opportunity to meet and greet with your team and distribute your equipment kit.

Any scheduled practices for today, Wednesday Sept 16th, are CANCELLED. The air quality remains above 10 (High Risk). The Return to Play coaches training session will still go ahead tonight at Douglas Park West from 5:30-6:30pm.

Tuesday, Sept 15th - Practices cancelled again due to the poor air quality. Until the smoke clears stay tuned to your email and our social media channels for daily updates.

Monday Practices Cancelled All practices for tomorrow (September 14, 2020) are cancelled due to poor air quality. Teams can still meet to give out uniforms, and the coach Return to Play sessions at Douglas Park will still go ahead at 5.30 and 6.30, but all practices are cancelled.

Given the smokey conditions and low air quality VAFC recommends that teams cancel training tonight and monitor this space for updates as smokey conditions persist.

Dear House League Team Coaches and Managers, We are excited to be starting our season in some limited capacity depending on which age group you are in, and we are ready for you to pick up your equipment. You may begin your practices as early as Monday September 14, as long as you have attended the on-field coaches' training with Coach Steve Weston and have read and understood the club's Return to Play Phase 2 Guidelines. ... Practices might be more for U8-U10 teams right now, as (some) U5-U7 teams will have player development sessions to begin their season. The date for House Equipment Pickup is this Sunday September 13 between 9:30-12pm. You will need to sign up for one of the 30 minute time slots using the Google Doc below. There are 20 spots for each time. If you are not able to pick the bin and bag of balls on that day, please send another parent from your team. Please be patient as we try to hand out the equipment and work as efficiently as possible.
