If you like the Vancouver Brain Bee, you might also be interested in these science workshops! 1. Data Literacy Day, organized by Society of Canadian Women in Science. This is a one day fun introduction to data science for youth aged 15-19. This event is coming up soon on September 23rd at Science World. 2. Project DIY helps 12 to 15 year olds start their journey into the Maker World. This five-part workshop will use fun projects to introduce common 'maker' activities, includi...ng, circuitry, coding, and 3D printing. All finished projects go home with participants! We will also discuss the science and technology behind these techniques. We have saved some spaces for young women but the program is co-ed. This introductory program will be 5 weeks, starting Sept. 23, missing the Thanksgiving long weekend, and ending on Oct. 28 3.
