This year, the Hamper Drive in partnership with Quest Food Exchange will be a contactless curbside drop off on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 11 AM to 3 PM, on the departures level of YVR. 12 DAYS OF GIVING - DAY 2 Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility reduces communication barriers for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This community has encountered increased barriers to social connection during the pandemic. We're supporting Wavefront’s Better and Home program which provides isolated Deaf and Hard of Hearing seniors with volunteer outreach services at home and their Lend an Ear program which helps people receive refurbished hearing aids & services for a nominal fee. We love full circle moments! To kick off Waste Reduction Week, we’re acknowledging the importance of a circular economy. In 2016, we partnered with ChopValue to collect, recycle and transform chopsticks that would otherwise end up in landfill into sustainable design products. By 2019, we celebrated recycling 1 MILLION chopsticks! Chop Value creates beautiful pieces for homes and businessesincluding us! Together, we have created awards, podiums and even tables for the airport from recycled chopsticks!
