Vancouver Island Driftwood Designs

This piece is quite small and the frame is painted a dark grey. 10" high and 14" wide

Thought I would post some process pics. I take my time building these pieces and often back track and make changes. This piece is 26" high and 48" wide and weighs about 35lbs. I worked on it for a year and used wood and stones that I have collected over many years.

It's been a long time since I posted any work. I have cleared out and sold off my old stuff and been working on a new collection of pieces. I've learned so much about how to layer and secure the wood and a friend taught me how to build proper frames. I want to put more effort into sharing art and craft, I get a lot of joy and inspiration from watching others do so. Here is a piece I finished this week, its the largest piece I've ever done with driftwood and it's inspired me t...o go bigger!
