This month has been all about healing and connecting to my sacral chakra, which has grown blocked through stress and anxiety creating a variety of physical concerns. Women's health can be so absolutely subtle, that white culture and understanding just cannot equate. I am finding new avenues of personal truth through my yogic and witches practices, and in connecting to my cycle, am finding my intution and connection to my body is stronger than any doctor's education. We have a very pharmaceutical focused way of treating people here in North America/colonized society, and this way of thinking discounts alot of health concerns that aren't worth diagnosing in a financial mindset. Something that cannot be diagnosed and treated with a substance must not exist. How capitalist, how sexist, how racist. This way of thinking in womens health is so detrimental, and so many female/reproductive health concerns could be avoided if doctor's helped to avoid illness rather than just treat illnesses after they've happened. There is a world of personal care being avoided here in colonized society. My experience in connection to my health is growing in understanding through exploration of other cultures, and I have realized that our educated health care system just cannot account for the subtleties in health that are required to keep us healthy and away from that system of financial gain. Through a deeper connection to myself, I can treat my wellness so that it may never turn to illness.
