Hi Everyone, We will be opening back up slowly. We will be offering in-person sessions again in the next week or so. Right now, we are working away to make sure we have the proper protection for us, as well as our clients. We would still prefer to do video/phone sessions, but understand some need to come into the office. Stay tuned for dates of return, with the new rules on how we will be conducting the practice. We will be available a couple of days per week for in-person sessions. Stay tuned....

We’re on to Day 2 of out mental wellness challenge Day 2: Schedule a social media break today. Take a break from watching, reading or listening to news stories, including social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting. Less time on social media can help you connect with people face-to-face and be present in life happening around you. Engaging with others in person fulfils our needs to physically hear, see, touch and smell, primal components to living... life fully. Additionally, this much-needed break can free up your time for other activities that are good for both your body and your brain such as; movement, the opportunity to experience nature, mindfulness, and rest. Remember, feel free to share us pictures or updates on your progress or challenges We would love to hear how you’re making out

**ALERT** These are very stressful and anxious times....Although our hearts are telling us to lean forward and help at this time, we have families that need to be cared for too. It is with a very heavy heart, that we have decided to shut down all in-person counselling sessions at Vanessa Lewis Counselling for the time being. We are here, but the office will be closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You are welcome to contact us to book a session via phone ...or FaceTime. In the meantime, we have chosen to waive all cancellation fees, and are willing to work with you in terms of financial concerns while the pandemic is of concern. We all need to lean on each other during these messy, hard, difficult, and complicated times. In the meantime, reach out to friends, elderly, and family via phone or FaceTime to check in, get outside for walks with your family, read books, play with your kids, meditate, do yoga, watch a movie that you’ve been meaning to watch for the last couple of months, but never got around to, enjoy this time. Go inward, and grow from this experience, help your neighbours, start journaling, relax, have a nap, be in nature, take up a virtual workout class, start focus on a new nutrition routine, do crafts, call a therapist, be mindful, and soak in every second of just ‘being’. Open yourselves and your hearts to this opportunity to be at home with your kids. And remember...sometimes what seems like a setback, is really an opportunity to do better See more
