I’m going to miss all the beautiful colors of spring & summer! Do you have a favorite season? If I had to choose (it would be so hard) I would choose spring! The non-rainy days of spring when it’s almost summer. When the days are warmer, longer and the grounds are sprinkled with the most beautiful variety of color. It’s heavenly.

In the beginning of my business I second shot a lot! It was so helpful, I met so many incredible people, and I learnt so much from a variety of creatives! This year I stepped back from second shooting as my own weddings booked up almost every weekend this summer. I did have a couple dates that allowed me the opportunity to second for a couple of my friends but unfortunately due to COVID-19 those weddings were also pushed to next year.. I didn’t get to shoot with one of my friends @amyteixeira at all this year.. but have been thinking of her as I look through weddings that I’ve shot with her! This one was certainly a stunner! Sharing another from this magical day while reminiscing on my own wedding! Today Josh and I celebrate 16 years! It’s been such an amazing adventure! Every wedding brings me back! It’s no wonder I love documenting weddings so much!

Spring is easily my favorite time of year! With Summer & Winter being a close second What is your favorite time of year?

I don’t even know where to start with explaining the emotion that I am feeling as I share this beautiful couples photos from their wedding.. four years ago I had the honor of documenting the brides sisters wedding day. Fast forward to this weekend.. there I was documenting her younger sisters wedding. This family.. is one of the kindest, most loving group of people I have ever met.. my heart is so full.. it has been such an honor to shoot two of their daughters weddings.. and then all of the traditions that were pulled into this particular wedding day! I love tradition! I love the bond that this family has! I love the support that surrounds them! I cannot sat it enough.. I love shooting weddings so much! Xo

It’s been a wonderful yet busy day behind the computer today. Filling my time with drive by sessions has definitely helped distract me from the sadness I am feeling over not shooting weddings at the moment. But it looks like we are beginning to see light and some of my brides have made adjustments so that they can move forward with their dream wedding I am so grateful that we were able to reschedule the weddings that were not able to happen this year, but am over the moon excited for their weddings to happen in 2021! I can’t even begin to express the love and gratitude I have for all of my couples! Their optimistic attitudes and zest for life is contagious! I’m so excited that I get to document their love story! #film #canadianfilmlab

Bouquet + Hair + Dress on point. Simply gorgeous. How is everyone holding up? Outside of working at home or outside of your home what are you doing to fill your days and fuel your creativity or fill your cup? Over here we are working with our couples and planners to make adjustments to weddings happening in the near future. I am so grateful for our incredible couples xo Outside of weddings, we are also working hard behind the scenes, planning for the future, and can’t... wait to spoil our couples when we get back to shooting! Other ways I am personally filling my cup each day is by taking advantage of this time to play with my kids! Having great conversations with them and just being present. Working on skills that I’ve been eager to improve upon within the walls of my home. Making sure to take a walk almost everyday to enjoy this beautiful earth that we live on.
