Vancouver Friends for Life Society Announces New Acting Executive Director The Board of Directors of the Vancouver Friends for Life Society (Friends) welcomes Diane Pépin to serve as Acting Executive Director effective January 4, 2021. Before her time with Friends, Diane earned a Master’s Degree in Health Administration. She also spent a number of years with the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. Throughout the pandemic, Diane has been instrumental in ensuring our ability ...to continue serving the Client-Members who rely on us. This is why many of you will already know Diane through her accomplished work as Program Coordinator for Friends since September 2019. Diane brings to the Acting Executive Director position her familiarity with Friends' members, volunteers, and donors; adeptness with the Diamond Centre for Living's house operations; and both foreground and behind-the-scenes expertise in outreach and managing of the Society's programs. The Board will move towards seeking a permanent Executive Director early in 2021. The Board of Directors bids farewell to Jesse Brown, Executive Director since September 2017. Jesse helped Friends navigate a changing funding landscape and provided leadership during challenging times that some health support nonprofits did not survive. His tenure as Executive Director has helped assure growth and sustainability for Friends throughout the changes and the challenges.
