Here are my TOP 6 recommendations for what you need to check out in your home or condo before to get ready for the winter! I - Check out your surface drainage! Make sure you have a positive slope AWAY from your house! Make sure the eave-troughs are working and discharging AWAY from the house! II - Plumbing and garden hoses: Make sure your bibs are winterized if you don’t have frost-free bibs, coil and put away your hose... III - HVAC: Shut-off the power to your AC and service furnace and humidifier IV - Mow lawn, clean brush around AC V - Check out your GFIs, lint traps and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
