Eventually, every computer's hard drive fails. The big question is "when"? Today's hard drives are considerably for robust than they used to be and generally last much longer than those drives from a few years ago. That being said, they will still fail. In this day and age, we all worry about computer security, hackers, etc. It's very common for folks to cover the laptop camera to prevent someone who has compromised your computer from turning on the camera and recording you. If you choose to do this, use something very thin - like perhaps painters tape, etc. Apple is warning people that covering the camera with thicker covers, may break the screen - this is also true of PC's, Here is the article about Macs... https://petapixel.com//covering-your-macbook-camera-can-c/

A blast from the past and a bit of computer history. I remember Compaq when it came out (yes, I am that old). Things have changed so much that it's absolutely mind-boggling. Here is a trip down memory lane or for some, a little history for those that weren't here yet... https://www.techspot.com/article/2112-compaq/

It appears that the fake Microsoft scam has started to make it's rounds again. I have been getting quite a few calls lately about computers being locked and the user is requested to call Microsoft tech at a toll-free number to fix the problem. I cannot stress this enough. This is NOT legitimate. These are just crooks who want to steal your money. Under NO circumstances, should you let them on your computer. If you have any questions or problems in regards to this, please call us and we can advise you how to counter the problem.
