It was just brought to my attention that Monday is a holiday. So I'm gonna take a day off on May 18th. I hope everyone has a wonderful Victoria Day and stays safe and healthy!

Time is getting short. This year, the tax deadline has been extended until May 31st and I have extended my office hours to accommodate that deadline. As of June 1st, my office will be closed for the summer season. If you are a regular client and still want your returns prepared by me, now is the time to drop off your paperwork. Remember, any delay in filing your return could result in a temporary suspension of government benefits and late-filing penalties could be added to any return with a balance owing. Take care and stay safe.

Did you get an extra GST/HST payment in your bank account this month and don't know why? You can relax. It's not a mistake. It's a one-time payment that has been issued by the Government of Canada in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
